Freshest Seafood on Waterfron
By tyrianpurple on 08/10/2006
Would highly recommend The Daily Catch on Northern Avenue, directly across the Northern Avenue Bridge in the Federal Court House. It is the "original" fried calamari and its seafood is the freshest that could be. Also black pasta. Sicilian style. Beer and wine. Sheltered, spacious outdoor dining under the arch on Boston Harbor. Family owned-run restaurant. Friendly, accommodating waitstaff. A real treat. A 33-year Boston resident.

OMG this place is just the best....try the black fettucini alredo...so rich and creamy and also the lobster daviolo for two. I prefered the red sause with this and it was excellent. I go there everytime I go into town. Great on a date or just with the girls...but remember....cash only.

Excellent food!!! This place is a tiny cubbie in Boston's north end with only about 6 tables and you will probably wait 45 minutes outside for a seat-but it is well worth it. The seafood is fresh and nicely cooked in garlic and other great spices. Food is to die for. I love the monkfish marsala, the calamari salad and clams casino. Then I walk across the street to Mike's for dessert.

The food is wonderful. It is fun to sit cheek to jowel with other customers It is always gives rise to some great conversation. The bathroom is the only problem. Crossing the street in the rain can sometimes be a challenge.
