The Elephant Walk serves Award-Winning Cambodian and French cuisine. We also feature strong VEGETARIAN and GLUTEN-FREE menus! With so much depth and breadth to our menus, both exotic and familiar, we have something for just about everyone. Cambodian cooking is beautiful and delicious, but still rare in America. Less hot and sweet than Thai, richer and more complex than Vietnamese, the complex spice pastes that are the foundation of many Cambodian dishes reflect Cambodia?s Indian ancestry. Our Cambodian menu features both traditional Cambodian dishes and originals created by our Chef/Owners Longteine and Nadsa de Monteiro, a Cambodian mother-daughter team born and raised in Phnom Penh. Why French too? Cambodia was a French colony for a century, ending in the 1950s. Consequently, our chef-owners were French-educated and grew up speaking French and enjoying French cuisine too. In other words, our Cambodian-and-French theme is an authentic reflection of?us!

Interesting food, some of it pretty good, but not as cool as everyone thinks. I've been here four times now and the service is always below-par. For a better experience go to Carambola in Waltham, owned by the same people, but for some reason, it has nicer and friendlier service.

Hey folks.. Take my word for it..don't go to the Elephant walk on mass ave...for the love of god..don't do it man! For those who aren't familiar with the restaurant...it serves French/Cambodian cuisine. The food was just ok...a wee bit tooooo pricey for my blood. The portions were small..too small...do I look like a woman who's had all she can eat??? The Cambodian entrees were too Americanized. Being Cambodian myself..let me tell you this..just head on over to Revere, Lowell, New Bedford..etc.. for authentic Cambodian cuisine. You'll get the same thing for 5 dollars a plate compared to 20..plus it's much more like the real deal! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! ~(_8(*)

Although I definitely will be back, I was disappointed with my meal. I ordered shrimp with came in a sauce with cocnut milk which I absolutely detest, had I known I would not have orderd it so to me it was barely edible, though to be fair others might like it. It was not described as such on the menu. However, every thing else was excellent-I tried my dining companion's entrees...another beef is that our first course cutlery was not removed, neither was my empty glass when I ordered another, and I felt the waitress condescending. So, a mixed review.
