The Harpoon Brewery makes five distinct brews that are fast becoming New England favorites and are poised to take on the world. Harpoon also produces four exceptional brews that are available during a seasonal basis. Want to know more? Brewery tours are given every Friday and Saturday at 1PM. The tours are held in the Tap Room, from which observers can overlook the entire brewery. This tour is not some bustling look-left-look-right-thank-you-for- coming affair either. The average size of any tour group is only around 20. Tours usually last from one hour to 90 minutes -- there is no charge and no reservations are required. The 5:30 CLUB is a brewery tour group that meets after work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays -- by reservation only. There is no charge, but reservations are required and group minimum is 15 people. The 5:30 CLUB offers the complete Harpoon Tour, but with more of a party atmosphere. The people at the Harpoon Brewery are beer zealots, and their fanatic enthusiasm is almost contagious. If you are a beer connoisseur, weekend warrior or home brewer or are just interested in knowing more about beer, you should stop by one day and see how it's done.
