A sort of romper room for adults, Jillian's is a three-story, 70,000 square-foot multimedia mecca located at the far end of Lansdowne Street. Boasting two restaurants, seven bars, 50 billiards tables, a posh bowling lounge and a dance floor, Jillian's truly does have something for everyone. On the first floor is Tequila Rain, a spring break-themed bar and Southwestern restaurant with "buff bod" nights and Top 40, hip-hop and rock music. Fans can watch the Sox on 30 flat-screen TVs. The third floor is called Lucky Strike Lanes and is dedicated to such old-fashioned pursuits as bowling and boozing. Patrons spread out over 16 state-of-the-art lanes, an expansive bar and lounge seating. Order chicken fingers between strikes or dance to the sounds emanating from the DJ booth. Know a big kid secretly longing for a little kid birthday? Jillians has plenty of space for private functions in addition to their dance nights.

Beware if you are African-American and you go to this place. The servers will look through you and not ask if you want to order a drink. After I had to go to the bar and get my own drink, I flagged down one of the (white)waitresses who had been ignoring us and asked to speak to her manager. She tried to give me a hard time, but an assistant mgr. did come over. He was unprofessional, in my opinion, but I made my point clear. Waitresses had taken drink orders from several tables around us but didn't look in our direction, otherwise they would have seen that we didn't have drinks. I told him that the situation reaked of RACISM loudly! Money was taken off our hour of pool, but I remain unsatisfied. I understand that they have beenin the news before for discriminating against African-Americans. I plan on going back with a videorecorder and if things aren't better, the tape will go to the t.v. media and other outlets. I will make it my business to ruin theirs.

This place is awesome! There is so much to do, but it's a little pricey, so be ready...and jesus h. christ, the chicks that work there are...HOLY GOD. But either way, you'll have a blast.
