Adjacent to the Prudential Center and its shopping mall, this 34 year old hotel recently underwent a much-needed $73 million top to bottom renovation. Now the twin-towered landmark at the western edge of the Back Bay is one of Bostons newest, most gleaming hotels. The location isnt exact central, but its convenient to the Hynes Convention Center and Back Bay shopping. Among the amenities: "pillow top" beds with special mattresses, down blankets, comforters, a duvet, and five extra-comfy pillows; 24-hour room service, and a business center. For the fit crowd, theres a fully equipped health club with New Englands largest indoor pool. Among dining and entertainment options, theres Apropos, with its open kitchen, and the Turning Point Lounge with a large menu of specialty spirits. The Punch Bar caters to cigar lovers.
