There's often an intolerable line, but that doesn't deter the well-dressed club kids and trust fund Euros who flood Venu with thigh-high boots and foreign accents every weekend. More intimate than the Lansdowne Street clubs, Venu goes for a South Beach look with a light-colored, art deco-inspired interior. The crowd is a chatty and catty seen-and-be-seen crowd who sip cosmos and swill bottled water to live DJs spinning a mix that, depending on the night, varies from slick Euro techno, to hard New York-style house to throttling drum 'n bass. Dont even think about coming before 11PM, for the beautiful people dont start lining up until long after dark. And men be advised: Venu strictly enforces its dress code, which requires sport jackets on some nights or bans hats/sneakers on others.
