Turn your pet's separation angst into a spa vacation at this Sudbury Club Med for four-legged friends. This fur-favoring spa chain offers boarding, daycare and grooming for feline and canine companions. An in-house pet store tempts guilt-ridden owners to buy last-minute toys and treats for their pets to enjoy while away from home. Though all locations of Best Friends feature comparable facilities -- such as 'cozy kitty condos' and 'private doggy suites' complete with lambskin bedding -- the Sudbury resort's manager has customized its program to include wacky events like the Valentine's Day pet pinup contest and a 'Howl-O-Ween' animal gala. Sudbury's Best Friends manages to be corporate and cozy at the same time. The high ceilings, spacious layout and wood paneling are reminiscent of a ski lodge. Pet lodging is reasonably priced.
