Druid Restaurant   

It's a good sign when a bar's cool ambience seems to change the taste of the beer, making it smoother and, well, more Irish. Step inside The Druid and you'll feel as if you've been taken to a coastal city on the Emerald Isle. Look around at the dark oak decor, listen to the bartenders' accents, and notice the crowd and their friendly and passive and completely passive mood. Wednesdays find these same regulars noticeably less friendly and more competitive with the all-consuming pub quiz; Thursdays offer a more frenentic atmosphere with a college DJ; and Friday you're surrounded by the tried and true tradition of mixing beer with instruments, jumping and off-key singing. Sundays offer Bluegrass at 8PM, and like every night, the cover is non-existent. In this town, that's a deal that's hard to beat.
