Perhaps youve heard the expression made by people who just dont have the attributes to be successful on the basketball court I might be short, but Im slow. Well, with a little tweaking, it can be applied to describe the Lexington Flick. It might be small, but Im uncomfortable. The fact that the Lexington Flicks ticket prices are a couple of dollars less than most other movie theaters isnt really enough to justify the poor conditions. A limited concession stand, spring-shod seats, small screens and a general air of dilapidation make it an unpleasant place to see a movie. I would gladly trade the ticket savings to be in a more comfortable seat for two hours. The movies shown here are usually major Hollywood releases and/or minor studio (i.e. Mirimax, New Line) films. The Lexington Flick is a second-run theater and gets movies after the initial run is over. The Flick is cheap but it isnt a value. Ive have seen worse theaters, but the Lexington Flick just doesnt rise high enough to make the savings worth it. TIP: Bring a throw pillow to sit on. -- Carl Salminen

The Great Flick
By scleave79 on 06/09/2007
anyone who does not like the flick must not understand the classic, comfortable feel of a small theater. the seats do not need to be fixed or replaced, they are comfy, and there is good sound and for people who arent pigs, enough food in the concession stand. if you much more unhealthy food, cvs is close and there are jumbo bags of candy if you are that desperate. and if youre still craving food after the movie, head over to rancs for ice cream. the flick is an awesome theater, and even if the ticket prices were up to those of other commercial trashy theaters, i would still choose the flick.

Flickering out
By merriecat2 on 02/25/2006
The Lexington Flick is not worth the price of admission, especially for any film shown upstairs. I recently saw Brokeback Mountain there. The sound was not loud enough, despite our request s to correct it, I had to cup my ears for the entire film to hear it. The size of the screen upstairs does a diservice to any film worth seeing. The seats are uncomfortable, the theater and bathrooms are dirty and patrons are kept waiting outside in the cold until the staff unlock the front door 15 minutes before the start of a film. Flick the "off" switch on this place.
