If you take your car to Liner Tire, the folks there will tire it and brake it if need be (read carefully: B-R-A-K-E). The oldest tire dealer in Massachusetts, Liner has experience keeping cars rolling and stopping. Dunlop, Firestone, Bridgestone, Yokohama, Michelin, BF Goodrich, Uniroyal, Continental, Pirelli, Goodyear and Cooper are some of the brands represented among the more than 30,000 tires Liner has in stock at any given time -- which means it will have a set to fit your vehicle. Liner also provides alignment, shocks and mufflers as well as repairs, maintenance, batteries, oil changes and even new axles. For a sleeker look, you can outfit your car with American Racing, Borbet, AMG, Moda or OZ mag wheels. The tradition of good service has lived on since Samuel Liner set up shop in 1910. Today, Liner Tire offers discounted prices and a free shuttle to your home or office when you drop off your car for service. And its mechanics are ASE certified, so they are less likely to B-R-E-A-K something. Tip: Visit www.linertire.com for discount coupons.

Reasonable Customer treated Extremely Rudely
By majestik1474 on 07/27/2009
Beware of these guys.....very unprofessional and careless in their work. First time I went to them to mount four tires on a high end Mercedes AMG, i had to return the next day because they neglected to add a standard sealant that would prevent the tires from deflating. The third time I went was much worse... One friday I got a flat tire. I purchased a replacement online, to be delivered to Liner Tire the following day at an $80 overnight delivery surcharge. I called Liner Tire immediately after ordering because I am a very precise person and I like everything to be well planned out. I tell them the tire would arrive at noon the next day, and ask if i could come by between 12 and 2pm...they said sure, no problem. The next day I call at 12:15 only to find that they are closed. Their website says they are open till 3pm on Saturdays, a sign on their door says 1pm, but apparently they closed at noon. I was furious for not being told about this, because now my $400 tire was locked in their garage until Monday. On Monday, I go to their shop and speak with the owner, explaining that based on the false information one of their employees provided me (by saying it was fine to come between 12 and 2pm), I had essentially paid an $80 overnight fee for nothing. I asked to be reimbursed for this cost because it was their mistake which made the $80 pointless. He straight up told me that because I had never bought tires from him, he really didn't care that I had spent the $80 and that it was not his problem. I told him that it was his problem because his employee had misled me. I was very civil even in protesting his remarks, but it was exceedingly clear that the man couldn't care less about the frustration he had caused me. There was no apology at all, in fact he outright told me I could go to x, y, z competitors for all he cared--this in response to me saying I'd have no problem purchasing my $1600 set of tires from them each year if they would only demonstrate fair customer servicel by correcting the issue they created. It was clear to me that that they really do not care about their customers. I changed to Sullivan Tires over on Comm Ave....those guys are amazing.....very skilled and a much wider selection of tires. There is a reason that despite being "Massachusett's oldest tire dealer (1910)", Liner Tire still has only one small location. Avoid these guys at all costs and save yourself a very poor customer experience.
