Rate and Write a Review While you'll no doubt be satisfied with a meal at any of the 10 Pizzeria Regina locations in Massachusetts, there's a point in time when you really need to experience the original location -- the treasured space that lies in the heart of Boston's Little Italy, the one still surrounded by street after street of fabulous food aromas like tomato sauce, garlic and fresh baked breads. Not much has changed inside the original location on Thatcher Street since 1926, and that's what makes it even more special. The old brick ovens continue to produce perfection: Neapolitan-style pizzas from an old Polcari family recipe, topped with all-natural ingredients, beginning with a flavorful sauce made from plump, fresh California tomatoes, special seasonings, and topped with a unique blend of hand shredded cheeses. Pizzeria Regina offers a copious menu of pizzas. You can order something as simple as the Margherita with tomato sauce, fresh chopped basil with mozzarella and Pecorino Romano cheese or the Giambotta which weighs in at a full three pounds all stacked with traditional toppings. If you're a foodie, you might want to create your own pizza from a mix-and-match list of more than 20 mouth-watering toppings, then pair up with an icy cold beer or soda, which are still sold on tapby the pint or pitcher. It's a great place to lose yourself after a day of shopping at Faneuil Hall or playing Boston tourist.
