With a true smile and the genuine desire to take care of you while you?re ?in our house?, Alta Strada will focus on the foods of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, and the Amalfi coast, while attempting to fill the much needed gap in Italian restaurants in America. Simply put, Alta Strada will be the place where you?ll find a perfectly made bowl of pasta, crispy thin pizza, gorgeous and abundant antipasti, and fantastic wines, all at a reasonable price, in a setting that could be found on a stylish via in Milan or Rome.

Fun new spot for Italian
By leela108 on 03/18/2007
I dined with a friend for lunch at Alta Strada on Cenhtral St. in Wellesley. It was quite busy, and the food was really special, the service attentive and helpful. The atmosphere tends to be a bit noisy, but don't let that put you off, as it's worth a visit for the very fine food. We're vegetarians, and we had no problem finding something, as there were plenty of choices. My sister, who is non-veggie, also loves it there! I had the roasted veggie panini, which was really yummy, and the bread was grilled to light and crispy perfection. My friend had a thin crust pizza, which looked and tasted totally authentic according to Italian standards. Just like what you would get around Rome or Milan. It was very tasty, delicate, but not too small, with a light ,crispy thin crust. We also had some antipasti, choosing the white beans, zucchini with lemon and mint, and the cauliflower with golden raisins. I loved teh cauliflower and the white beans the best. I hear the broccoli rabe is also fantastic, and I can't wait for my next visit to try it! I recommend trying out Alta Strada. I think you'll really enjoy your meal, and you may even become a regular!
