In ShortOne of the city's most modern Asian restaurants, Douzo serves inventive sushi rolls and wicked house cocktails in mostly black, New York lounge-style environs. Indecisive diners select from a lengthy menu of familiar and unique offerings. Fresh veggie and seafood tempura--from Japanese yam to eel--are served a la carte. Several torch and hand rolls jockey for attention, and offbeat options include the pizza roll (tomato, asparagus, cucumber wrap and shrimp, toasted with cheese).

Wonderful fresh sushi and great City, cutting egde atmosphere.
We have never had a bad anything and highly recommend for any sushi lover! Enjoy!
Rising Sun of Sushi
Since Douzo's opening a few years back, I've become a diehard regular whenever I hit Back Bay. Sometimes lunching at the bar with warm sake, tuna tataki, torch-style specialy pieces, or my favorite dobin mushi (allow extra time for this, but it's worth it!), sometimes entertaining clients or friends at a table in their very comfortable dining room (understandably full yet not oppressive), their quality is consistent and top-notch. The staff is refreshingly warm and friendly, without exception. This lovely Dartmouth Street place, a softball-toss away from Back Bay Station and Copley Place, is my go-to for neo sushi, bar none. If the Douzo staff is reading this: Keep Up The Great Work Friends! We love ya!
