Lala Rokh, established in 1995, is located in the heart of the historic Beacon Hill, and is the namesake of Thomas Moore's 1817 romance novel. We feature Persian cuisine lovingly prepared and garnished with fragrant herbs and spices that we import directly. The recipes have been handed down from generation to generation to us from our mother who still tastes everything for quality. The restaurant is decorated with our family's one of a kind museum quality artwork. Our staff will do everything in their power to welcome you as we would to our home and provide impeccable service. Our specialty cocktails and wines have been created and picked specifically matched to our cuisine. Winner of numerous national and local awards by Gourmet, Zagat and Boston Magazine.

By alannarite on 02/02/2008
I've been to many persian restaurants but this is wierd which persian restaurant doesnt have kabob ???? This one doesnt , they really dont have the kabob on skewers that are suppose dto be made on charcoal , The food tastes good , but for sure it's not real persian food from back home , they just mixed up some stuff . Also when asking for something , they bring you just a slice or just a bit , Gosh if we are 4 or more how do you want us to split it ???????? So they like to be bothered , back and forth , back and forth .........

The only place in Boston that serves Azerbaijani food. Not exactly like they do it back home but good enough :)

Disappointed
By hkidher1 on 12/22/2006
Some friends recommended Lala Rokh to us, but we were disappointed, and my husband is from the Middle East. We have had better Persian food else where, the chicken dish here was bland. We won't go back.
