The SceneThe curiously-named Orleans offers very little in the way of New Orleans ambience. The understated restaurant features a small bar, an expansive seating area and an informal lounge complete with comfy sofas. Youthful, attentive waiters patrol the dining area with carafes of water, ever alert for glasses in need of a refill. The FoodDon't expect Emeril-ized Cajun or Creole cooking. But Orleans's lengthy menu does offer a bounty of above-average New American fare, including inventive salads, filling pasta dishes and hearty cuts of meats and fish. Start with the flavorful arugula salad, but be careful not to let the massive circle of warmed goat cheese overpower the rest of the dish. Health-conscious diners should opt for the tasty roasted swordfish, which rests comfortably on a fluffy bed of fresh, minty couscous. No meal here is complete without a capper of sinful chocolate-banana bread pudding.

Best Restaurant In Somerville
By bsbllkids on 02/20/2006
This place is quickly becoming the most popular Davis Square eatery . I was just there this weekend and it was slamming . We had to wait about 20 minutes , but it was well worth it . I had veal with spinach and prosciutto . Sensational . The mayor sat a couple tables away . This is becoming the place to see and be seen . We stayed for drinks and the d.j. . Great time had by all .

Best spot in Davis Square
By ralovecraft on 01/04/2006
The food, drinks, service and location (with parking after 5) make this the ultimate spot in Davis Square. On quiet nights, the conversational attitudes of patrons and staff keep you entertained. On busy nights, a wonderful mix of the attractive and uninteresting keep you standing out when you want and blending in when you don't. Great late night bar scene and the bar menu is just as good. The dinner menu offers enough variety to satisfy everyone in your party. Overall, a really nice place to have an enjoyable night out.

Touch of class in Somerville

This is the place to go when you want excellent food and a great atmosphere if you're looking for a place on friday night in somerville or cambridge. The food is amazing and so are the drinks. Try the white sangria. On weekends they also have dj's that spin quality tunes. Go check it out. Parking is easy, since it's right next to a municipal parking lot. They also have free wireless interenet if you need to do some work or homework during the day -- unlike Starbucks down the street where you have to pay.
