Sibling Rivalry combines the simple elegance of classical cooking with the rich, bold flavors of Modern American cuisine. Chef's David and Bob Kinkead created a 'dueling' menu that showcases their talents with different interpretations of seasonal ingredients. The Kinkead brothers' philosophy of providing fresh, straight-forward cuisine is at the core of their menu. Warm colors of copper, beet, and red provide a warm and inviting atmosphere which reflects the hospitality of the restaurant and staff. Diners can experience a 'Chef's Bar' where patrons can watch the hustle and bustle of the kitchen while dining. A creative cocktail list and extensive wine selection are top of the list of reasons to visit this posh Boston dining hotspot.

Fantastic!
By friarbri on 05/25/2005
A couple of friends and I just happened to wander into Sibling Rivalry on a Tuesday evening. Although the place was pretty full we were lucky to get a table right away. From the moment we walked in, everything was wonderful. The service was top-notch, very efficient and very friendly, and the food was out of this world! The best lobster salad I've ever tasted was followed by a delicious halibut dish. The ambiance/decor is unlike any other restaurant in Boston, funky yet elegant at the same time. This place is right up there with the best restaurants in Boston. I can't wait to return.

Boston has much more to offer
By mushko521 on 05/23/2005
The evening was off to a lousy start with an incident with the valet. The night’s specials seemed to be read as we were seated, and pressure for an order was intense. Our food arrived promptly, which was nice, but the wine we had ordered was nowhere to be found. Every person we asked couldn’t seem to help us and our server had vanished when we needed him most. When we asked where our wine was he said we never ordered it, which was insulting. The service was surprisingly bad, especially for the price of the food, which was very good. Good food isn’t everything and the service/experience left a bad taste. After hearing some good reviews we thought we would give it a try. In this case curiosity definitely did kill the cat. We won’t be coming back any time soon, and wouldn’t recommend it to friends.

Best Steak I've Ever Eaten!
By adrienneth on 03/06/2005
After countless referrals, we finally hit the new "in" restaurant- Sibling Rivalry last night. We had reservations (hint: MAKE A RESERVATION-EARLY), and were promptly shown to our table. Nice lighting throughout the place, minimal decorations, and kinda blah wall paintings. Still very nice. I had the Peppercorn Steak dish. I figured for $32 it had better be awesome, and it was! Absolutely the most tender, flavorful, steak I have EVER had, and I mean that. Nice size portion on the steak, too. Sides that "came with" the steak were TINY, but tasty-garlic spinach, and a version of potatoes. My partner got the vegetable plate-menu says the chef will whip something up for you. Not impressed. Desserts (apple crisp and chocolate something or other) were tasty. Nice evening. Attentive service staff. Recommended!
