Decor great, service wonderful, people watching fun. I felt that the cusine is not the gold standard of Mistral.

I could not be happier!

Just went there last weekend and was blown away by service, food and not to mention about the space. I had the chicken dish suggested by my server (which was very attentive). It was a little pricey, I guess you are not only paying for the food but for the whole experience! I highly recommend Sorellina if money is not an issue when it comes to 'treat' yourself.

A little food a big bill...
By rolexkosmo on 10/01/2006
A very disappointing dining experience. While the restaurant is pretty and the service was good, the menus selection was limited. In addition, I thought the food itself was average. The Arancini appetizer (risotto with crabmeat) sounded appealing in its description, but in reality its not a good combination and it just doesn't work! Not to mention the stingy portion of sauce they give you for it is embarassing. My wife had halibut that was bland, and I had lobster and shells as an entre. My entre was fine, nothing special, but there were barely any pasta shells (maybe 8-10 medium size shells in a butter sauce)...people pasta is cheap!!! You can just imagine if they aren't giveing you a lot of pasta how small the lobster portion is. This was a nearly 40 dollar entre that left me feeling like I should get a hamburger on my way home. To cap off the night, I had a chocolate budino (warm chocolate center/flourless cake thing) that comes with icecream. The scoop if ice cream was about the size of a table spoon so you had to eat the ice cream strategically with the rest of the dessert or you'd have no ice cream to eat with this dessert. When a dessert is $11 a restaurant should have the have the decency to give you at least a normal size scoop of ice cream. We dined with another couple and they had different entres etc and they said they would not go back ever. Be smart dine at Mistral, or at another restaurant where they don't try to rip you off with child size portions.

Menu was limited and not alot of common choices. Service was good. Restaurant is loud. Food was okay portions are small. I love Mistral there sister restaurant but am greatly disappointed with Sorellina. Alot of money for an okay dinner!
