Spike's Junkyard Dogs   

It's all hype and bright colors. Eaten at three Spike's in two states. The dogs need the fixin's bar cuz they simply don't taste good. The bread is flavorless - good texture and feel to it but not worth all the work of making it and chewing it. I eat mustard sandwiches - I do. I *do*. But their mustard must stay out of my mouth. They just missed the mark for my pallet all around. The pizza was too Nabisco-y. Bready crust flavourless acidic cheese slice. Place is as clean as it needs to be and is as cheap as other college town eateries. But you have to wonder about a chain that offers free T-shirts as a prize to customers who can eat a dozen dogs at one sitting and not puke.
