Teatro, located in the theater district overlooking the Boston Common, offers a modern approach to classic Italian dishes. The design of Teatro is both elegant and informal. The open kitchen and high arched mosaic ceiling gives the room a theatrical presence. Teatro offers a full bar and wine list. Full menu is available at the bar.

Best Risotto I've Had
By thedavidkarol on 02/22/2009
My experience at Teatro was flawless. We started off with the Eggplant Parmigiana and Creamy Wild Mushroom Risotto. They were both in small "table sharing" portions. The Eggplant Parmigiana was prepared in a traditional way. That was really what I expected, however, the Creamy Wild Mushroom Risotto was to die for. It was the best risotto dish I've tasted. As an entrée, I had the Wild Boar, with Gnocchi and Melted Cheese. In addition to the fabulous taste, the presentation was beautiful. My mother indulged herself in the Grilled Mustard Glazed Salmon with Asparagus, in an Oyster Mushroom Pan Sauce. She was blown away. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the service was spectacular. I will definitely be returning.

One of the best in Boston
By Maxoutman on 05/15/2008
As a regular at this place I am a bit biased. However, I must say that this is one of the better Italian restaurants in Boston (my absolute favorite is still L'Osteria in the North End.) The Bolognese is the best dish on the menu and I consider it their signature creation. Thankfully, Jamie hasn't priced this place as high as Mistral or Mooo. It's also a great place to just stop in for a drink just before or after a show. Even more so now that they have expanded the bar. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is both animated and chic. Great place to go people watching as well. My only complaints are that I don't get there as often as I used to and they no longer serve Stella Artois. But that won't stop me from bringing business associates and dates to this jewel.
