When heading to Veggie Planet, look for signs that read "Club Passim." These two establishments have a unique partnership: they share the basement-level location where Club Passim provides live entertainment (hosting numerous music legends in its 40 years) and Veggie Planet provides delicious food to hungry fans. It's a quintessentially Cambridge sort of place; Club Passim displays photos and quotes of Ralph Nader and other liberal heroes, while the colorful Veggie Planet side features its own culturally sassy quote of the day. Pizza here is both exotic and tasty: Try top combos like Go Go Romesco, topped with roasted potatoes, red pepper-hazelnut sauce and basil, or red peanut curry pie, smothered in coconut rice, tofu, broccoli and spicy Thai peanut curry sauce. Veggie Planet's menu features quality salads and desserts for light-biters, as well as fizzy Italian sodas, organic coffee and tea. Booze ban: Club Passim is an alcohol-free establishment. Arrive before 7PM to avoid the cover charge.
