Buddies   

I, AND I'M SURE MANY PEOPLE MISS WHAT WAS ONCE HERALDED AS BY FAR THE BEST GAY BAR IN WESTERN NEW YORK. IT WAS A PLACE WHERE I FIRST BEGAN TO COME OUT AS A GAY MAN BACK IN THE MID 90'S. I STILL HAVE MEMORIES OF THE DANCE FLOOR. AND WHAT GREAT MEMORIES THEY ARE. TO SEE IT GONE, IS A REAL LOSS FOR THE CITY AND THE GAY COMMUNITY. IT SEEMS TO BE JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE DOWNFALL OF AT ONE TIME ONE OF THE GREATEST CITIES IN THE WORLD. BUT I'M SURE THE PENDULUM WILL SWIMG BACK THE OTHER WAY AGAIN AND MAYBE BUDDIES WILL RISE AGAIN. THE BUILDING IS STILL THERE, LOOKING BETTER THAN EVER. IN FACT WHEN I SAW THAT IT WAS BEING RENOVATED, I THOUGHT THAT THE OWNERS WERE DOING IT. AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT I HOPED FOR.

this bar is was and should be closed! the mgt sucked. and who is the reviewer that liked to play with bartenders nipples? An a$$ at best. I knew the bartenders there and none of them would have touched his all important (however small) Co*k. what a weirdo. Most of the employees at Buddies opened their own bar it is called "Q" 44 Allen st. Stop by they miss you!!!!

This place used to be ok...last time I was here it was just old trolls and a few flamers. Not worth bothering going in.
