Anchor Bar   

I have been out of Buffalo since 1973 when I joined the Army. But I am a Buffaloian, and when I ome "home" I have to get wings, the original. I have been all over the world and Buffalo wings are not "wings"!!!!!

Granted, hands down Buffalo's Anchor Bar is without a doubt the best place in the city to get great food. But, there's more to this spot than just pleasing the taste buds. Anchor Bar has the nicest atmospere of any other restaurant in my opinion. The musicians there are great and the place is as soothing a joint as one can find in only the bigger cities. Being a born and bred Buffaloian, I couldn't wait to get old enough to go there on my own on a real live date. I recall being there was like a right of passage for me. I was in a nice sophisticated place, where music was playing and food and drink was in great supply. It was the bomb! The Anchor Bar will always be one of my very favorite places and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves to chill ! :)

Anchor Bar wings are very good. Smaller wings are definitely the best for making "Buffalo Wings". You can make them at home if you use FRANKS HOT SAUCE and follow the recipe on the label. In Buffalo you can get Buffalo Wings at just about any Pizza place. In Buffalo you cant go more the a block without running into one. A place called LaNova's also has great wings. Its great when you have a choice.
