If you live in Buffalo and have never tried Bocce's pizza, you're sorely lacking a quintessential native experience. Bocce Club Pizza has been in business since 1946, serving what is arguably the best pizza in Buffalo. The chewy, thick-crusted pies, slathered with slightly tart homemade sauce and gooey cheese, are considered a delicacy to those in the know. Buffalo wings from Bocce's rival all other top contenders in the city. They have a limited delivery area, but with two convenient locations in Buffalo and Williamsville, if Bocce's can't come to you, you can go to Bocce's. Rumor has it that the Bailey Avenue store serves up tastier pies than its Hopkins Road counterpart; but chances are that your taste buds won't recognize any difference after the first bite. There isn't a dining room at either location, so don't count on eating in. Though its typical red-and-white checked decor may feel pretty homey, after one whiff of the smell emanating from Bocce's kitchen, you may argue that it rivals even mom's cooking. -- Kara Sweet

Wish they would open in Ohio!

My husband is from Buffalo and I never knew pizza until Bocce! It is the first thing we eat when we come for a visit and the last place we stop before going home to pick up a couple of pies to take back! Our friends look forward to us returning from trips to Buffalo because they know that the car will be full of Bocce pizza for everyone! If there was an affordable way to get it to Ohio we would be eating it at least once a week! I thank my husband and his family for the gift of Bocce pizza! A trip to Buffalo is complete when you have hit Bocce, Ted's and Andersons!

I HAVE BOUGHT PIZZA FROM THEM SINCE THEY WERE ON HICKORY ST. IN BUFFALO. THEN ON CLINTON STREET. THEN WE BOUGHT ON BILY. THEY ARE STILL THE BEST BUT NOT AS GOOD AS WHEN HENRY SACO RAN IT ON HICKORY ST. WE USA TO DRIVE UP FRONT AND HE WOULD WAVE TO US. 15 MIN. LATER HE WOULD WAVE FOR US TO COME IN AND PICK UP OUR PIZA. THATS HOW MUCH WE BOUGHT THERE PIZA THERE. WE ALSO KNEW THERE DAD.
