There are different cults in Western New York, peoples who differentiate themselves by the ingestion of tacos, burritos and subs from specific establishments. There are Mighty believers. Jims Steakout has its own tribe. There are the weak chain-munchers. And then there are the ETS freaks. From a sole location, Elmwood Taco & Subs has been dealing in all things crave- related for 25 years and they offer free fountain drink refills because of this auspiciousness. In addition to menu items mentioned in their name, ETS serves Mexican Pizza, wings, fingers, chimichangas and quesadillas. Understanding the needs of their clientele, there is also what can be termed the cravings center, stocked with brownies, pickles, cookies, potato and macaroni salad. Depending on who's behind the line, your hot-sauced menu item will be either hot... or molten. The ETS hot sauce, it is believed, is addictive: the recipe, management and workers are proud to say, is "guarded." Right on the corner of Elmwood and West Delavan, Elmwood Taco sits at a very visible location and is kept extremely clean. All seating here is designed for short stays and the panning of the wall-mounted surveillance cameras amid healthy plants, vibrant artwork, neon and Georgia O'Keefe-style skull impart a special Big Taco Brother vibe. -- Nancy J. Real food, fast

Love their taco salad and Mexican pizza. A bit more money because they don't stint on the ingredients. You get what you pay for. Both items are loaded with cheese, salsa, olives. Nice when you want to eat on the fly but want real food.

Customer Service Skills Needed

I have been going to ETS for over 12 years, I started when they were on Elmwood and Hodge. Well, after a recent Friday night experience I will no longer be spending a dime of my money there. My order was not correct and when brought to the staff and managers attention, they were unwilling to put things right. No correcting the mistake or refund. So much for my patronage over the years. I have talked to other friends about the situation and they said they have noticed a decline in service their also. Too bad, it used to be a good establishment with a great taco.
