Mothers Restaurant   

A very underestimated restaurant. As good as any of the big boys who get all the Press like Oliver's or Chop House. You can't beat the ambiance really, nice stone or brick walls, perfect dim lighting, nice bar, very nice and well educated hostess & Wait staff. I had one of the nightly features, a beautiful perfectly cooked Rib Eye with Garlic smashed potatoes, asparagus, a giant shrimp and a nice reduction for the steak to sit in. It matched perfectly with the Raymond Cabernet Sauvignon i had. A very extensive varied special menu & appetizers and i was actually also impressed by the wine list which many people ignore. There was a featured wine, a scarce Chianti and by reviewing the list it became obvious that there was attention to having top notch selections available. Even my tawny port was wonderful and the perfect ending to a great meal. Would highly recommend.
