I have been eating BOVE's since I was a child...it is always great...even after 49 years! the art deco of the restaurant is like a time capsule...very comforting!

I have been dining at "BOVE'S" since I was young in the 60's. The food and family are terrific. The sauce is a must for every special event. The specials are huge and really better than MAMMA could cook!!!! Don't miss this place and YES the line is always worth the wait. Do not expect a change in Decor from the 60's....I think that the Owner must have made a promise to his ancestors not to change it and if he did...or let the sons...well...it would not be the same. I still have my monkeys that "Babe" gave to me as a child....and the cherry at the bar..while Daddy paid the bill was always great...it made me ask to keep going back. Now "Ricky" gives them and Mark asks the kiddies if they liked their dinner! The shirley temples were good...now I love the baskets of Chianti! My first date with my husband of 22 years was lunch at Bove's..when he liked it...I liked him! Keep it up and I noticed that Mazza's store not only has the sauce but the frozen meatballs now too!!!!! Yum- YUM!
