They have breakfast specials from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m for $3.79 and they are the deal of the century for what you get. Also seniors get a 10% discount. They have recently painted since going non-smoking which has helped the place out a lot.

good dailies, mostly regulars in there which is nice to see, wait staff new people by name and treated them like family. in fact some of the wait staff knew what cutomer wanted but still asked if that is what they wanted

it's fashionable in a college town to make fun of family restaurants, especially those which offer a 10% discount to seniors instead of to cretins with shaved heads and festering lip piercings. taffies offers breakfast any time, and no corporate menu. the food is fresh, home made...even the meat is local. the portions are generous and the price is cheap. lots of great pies. only place in town to get a real ice cream soda with real ice cream. open late.
