A Charleston must
By ldumont on 06/22/2007
The crabcakes and shecrab soup are to die for! Ask to sit either in the atrium or downstairs for the most delightful southern experience. A Charleston local favorite for years. Excellent food. Excellent service without being too pretencious. For visitors and locals with a discerning palate. Not overly priced compared to Charleston Grill and Penisula Grill. Less splashy. Less swirls on your plate. Just good southern cuisine!

A great find

Wonderful atmosphere and better presentation. The crab cakes were extraordinary and the creme brulee even better. The only sore spot was the snooty maitre'd.

Loved it.

Pricey menu, but the food is well worth it. $55 for me alone! The crabcakes are great. The She Crab soup was only mediocre I thought considering they are famous for it. All in all a great restaurant with great atmosphere.
