Some people wait up to an hour and 20 minutes to be seated at one of the most popular and loudest restaurants in town, located off Corridor G. You can't blame them, though, as you grab a handful of peanuts and wait at the bar. The aged tenderloin and baby-back ribs are crowd favorites, but non-carnivores will be delighted by the salmon -- marinated in bourbon, garlic, soy and brown sugar -- and grilled shrimp. Salads go well beyond the iceberg lettuce variety. It will seem as if dessert's been served early after one bite of the baked sweet potato dressed with buttery cinnamon sugar. The real desserts include key lime pie and blue-ribbon cheesecake served in portions fit for a steer. With the Western-style decor, moderately lit atmosphere and "Kid's Corner" menu, it's definitely home on the range: casual and family-friendly. The steakhouse has a well-stocked bar and wine list. Just remember to call ahead.

Great Food
By dlpcyh on 05/02/2007
The best steakhouse in Charleston period. There's a reason why the wait is so long. You wouldn't want to go to a Restaurant that no one is at would you? If the wait is a little long just use there call ahead it will cut your time down. The food and wait staff are the best in Charleston.

RATS at the LONGHORN
By cab7134 on 02/28/2007
I went to longhorn on a first date. We were enjoying a overcooked steak when Jerry ran out of the kitchen to say hi. I have never been in a restaurant and seen a rat pop out of the kitchen, and I hope that I never see it again. The manager did not act the least suprised when I talked to him about it. I go to Logan's all the time, and have never had a experience like this. There is one thing that I can say, Logan's is clean. I will never set foot in a Longhorn again unless I have a cat in tow to fend off the rodent population from the kitchen.

Too expensive when you can get the same stuff at logan's minus the everlasting wait.
