Because of its out-of-the-way South Boulevard location, this club doesn't get the love the Uptown clubs do, but that didn't stop local media from voting it the city's second hottest dance club in 2000. Playing techno and house music, the three-in-one club also offers sexy thrills: a topless club (the Platinum) and the Body Shop, a stage featuring exotic male dancers. Tamer delights include the occasional bikini contest, a salsa-merengue-bachata night, a large multilevel dance floor, a VIP section, a full menu and plenty of free parking (a refreshing change from the Uptown scene). Weekly events include karaoke at the Platinum Club, Ladies Night at the Body Shop and Club Kiss (sponsored by KISS 95.1) on Sundays, featuring DJ Breeze and a techno vibe. The men's dress code is casual but prohibits athletic or biker wear; there's no dress code for women, but thongs and revealing clubwear are definitely encouraged.
