Rate and Write a Review In front of Jillian's and next to the Gin Mill, find a Charlotte stalwart of live the music scene: good ol' Amos' SouthEnd. While Amos' is a favorite among local singles, it isn't a Crush-style meat market, but rather a casual nightspot that happens to attract plenty of singles. The live music here ranges from rock monsters like Molly Hatchet and Drivin 'n Cryin, to verge-of-the-big-time acts like Angie Aparo and Mary Prankster, to local faves like retro-80s popsters the Breakfast Club and the glammed-out Bel Air Saints. There's music nearly every night of the week, with a reggae DJ on Wednesdays and the big acts hitting once or twice a month. Smoky and casual, Amos' offers a both large dance floor and a cozy balcony littered with tables, sofas and the occasional inebriated patron. The crowd is typical Queen City nightlife: singles and college students out for a rockin' good time.
