Charlotte's beloved blues house once hosted an unexpected performance by none other than Eric Clapton -- the living legend played a show in town, decided he was still in the mood to jam, and showed up on the stage of the Double Door to play a set for a roomful of blues fans barely able to pick their jaws up off the floor. In business for over 20 years, this smallish, intimate blues bar offers awesome acoustics and a house band that's arguably the best in the city: Les Moore and his Monday Nite All-Stars.
