The Omni is located right on ''The Square,'' the famed intersection of Trade and Tryon streets, the fulcrum of the Queen City. It is difficult to be more central to the culture, commerce and culinary venues that comprise Uptown Charlotte. Ask for one of the corner rooms on the point of the building; though awkwardly dimensioned, they provide a great view of the Uptown Center. The roof pool is a great venue to relax; though the hotel is fully equipped with a fitness center and admission to the Tower Club -- a swanky athletic center for the Uptown elite. Perfect for business travelers due to its central location, the commute will be on foot to the office. -- John Helmantoler
