Offering some of the most notable outdoor dining and people-watching to be found Uptown, Brixx is a perfect spot for drinks or dinner when the clubs are too noisy or smoky and you haven't got the dinero for Mimosa or Bijoux. Leave the formal duds at home and go casual to business casual at this family-friendly pizza chain offering some of the Queen City's most award-winning pies. Flavors here are unusual, a la Wolfman: spicy shrimp and goat cheese, artichokes and pesto. All pizzas are baked in a wood-fired grill, and the smoky, tempting aroma drifts pleasingly into the dining area. There are hearty deli-style wraps, subs, salads and pastas, as well. Child-friendly Brixx offers a kids' menu, while mom and dad will like the wine list and beer selection. The great Uptown locale (funky Seventh Street Station, offering free parking after hours) definitely doesn't detract from the venue's fun, casual, neon-lit appeal. -- Jennifer Saylor

When ever in Charlotte we don't want any other pizza---especially the kids all want to go to BRIXX, from toddlers to teens. We love the energy of each restaurant especially the Birkdale restaurant ,the patio is the lake place to see old friends. Great pizza unlike any other in town

missed the mark
By carmeldelight45 on 06/15/2007
I went to the Brixx pizza uptown and while the decor and the atmosphere are good. Our server; howver, was horrible. We were told that there kitchen was open and by the time the server started to pay us any attention, the kitchen had gone down to a limited menu of pizzas and appetizers. The seasoning is off. We shared a few appetizers and we couldn't taste the food itself because of the overpowering taste of garlic salt on EVERYTHING!! Overall, it's good for a drink and maybe so live music, but I'll eat somewhere else.
