Omaha Steak House   

The taste of Omaha has come to the Queen City with the arrival of the fourth restaurant in a new upscale dining chain: the Omaha Steak House. Omaha Steaks have been sold to restaurants since 1917 and by mail since 1952, so it's safe to assume that this heartland outfit knows beef. Located inside Uptown's Embassy Suites Hotel, Omaha is a fine-dining experience along the lines of Morton's, Sullivan's and McIntosh's, and the entree prices are in the splurge zone. The meat-heavy menu includes private reserve filet mignon and a bacon-wrapped, peppercorn-crusted 12-ounce prime top sirloin. You'll also find the chain's signature roasted Maryland lump crab cakes and, on the dessert side, a mean molten chocolate pudding. If you crave red meat, onion rings, creme brulee and a bottle of 1998 Silver Oak cabernet sauvignon, Omaha has a place for you in its handsomely appointed dining room. Sip your cabernet next to a tastefully lit built-in wine storage area and enjoy the good life.
