Find a business in the AOL Yellow Pages by following these steps:
- Select a location to search in by entering a city and state or a zip code. You have the option of also specifying a street address, in which case we'll search for businesses closest to that address.
- Enter a business name or the type of business youre looking for in the search field, then click the "Search" button or
- Click on one of the category names below the search box to browse categories of popular business listings. Once you select the desired category and subcategory, the business listings related to your search criteria will appear.
The AOL Yellow Pages will find a list of matching businesses for the category you chose or the business name you entered.
When you get the list of the businesses matching your search, you can click on a business name to view detailed information about that business, such as name, address, phone number, a map, driving directions, etc. You can also view a map of the address, get driving directions or see other detailed information if available. Click on "Back to results" to see the original listings, or click on the "AOL Yellow Pages main" link to begin a new search.
Searching using city and state
When you enter the AOL Yellow Pages for the very first time, you can select a location to search in by entering a city and state or a zip code. You have the option of also entering a street address. Once you have defined this location, it will be displayed at the top of the main page. To search from a different area, click on the "Change Location" link and enter your new location information.
Searching from a pre-defined address
With the AOL Yellow Pages, you can search not only near the zip code or city/state that you enter, but also near pre-defined addresses that you set up in advance. To pre-set addresses that you may commonly search near, look for the 'Edit Saved Locations' link on either the Main screen or the Change Location screen within AOL Yellow Pages. You may pre-define up to three addresses and store them for future use.
Browsing categories
You can browse through the list of the most popular AOL Yellow Pages categories. For example, if you click on "Family Guide," you can browse the category to find businesses like Veterinarians, Pet Stores, and Pet Grooming.
When you browse through a category, you will see listings for the area you are searching.
If no matches are returned for your search, try searching by the business name.
How do I change the city or address in which I want to search?
Once you have chosen a city or address from which to search, that will be your default location until you select a new one.
The area youre searching is located at the top of the page. To search from a different area, click on the "Change Location" link and enter your new city and state or your new zip code.
