We were in town on business and walking Tyron when we happened upon this small classy place. While not to busy, the service was excellent, fine wines and the food was some of the best ever. We had the special, rack of lamb with the chefs special. Our server told us that they had a young chef, who used only fresh in season ingredients, so the menu changed frequentlyl. What a meal. In my business I travel throughout the U.S, this is one of my greatest finds, well priced, well prepared and certainly the chef and kitchen staff love food. Overall the meal and wine and service were execellent. I will return on every visit to town, just to see what this new chef is creating. I will have to ask to meet this young artist on my next trip. I love Cantina 1511... its always fresh and delicious! If you are looking for more upscale mexican dining... this is it! Everything is not fatty and loaded with cheese! I love their taco combo plate... I get one chicken taco, one beef taco and their black beans and rice... its more than enough for 2 meals. Their queso is to die for - do not pass it up!  More Reviews
