I think that beas is a pretty good place to eat. But the main reason i dont eat there is because the food is already out on the table and you have NO CLUE who ate there before you! Ive been there where a man was just holding the mashpotato bowl and just eating out of that then he left. Im sorry but i just dont like not know who was there before

A Landmark Place
By lucy3903 on 07/28/2007
I drive from Cleveland, about once a month to have lunch or dinner at Bea's. I knew Bea and her husband who started the restaurant in the 50's, The Chicken is the best I have had anywhere and the family has kept it like it was originally. The place is similar to the Smith House in Dalonaga, (sp?) GA, just not quite as well appointed. The management in now in its third generation of family ownership. It's now a Chattanooga landmark, although the area where it is located has deteriorated over the past few decades it has not effected the food. I might add, some of the best older little restaurants in New Orleans, New York and Chicago are in remote run-down areas.
