60'S were great
By kwiksilver57 on 06/11/2007
Bea's was a pretty good place to eat 50 years ago. We lived in a different world back then. It dosen't bother me to sit with strangers. Remember , Your the stranger the other guy is sitting next to.Should he be concerned? I just don't see what the fuss is about. This place is in a dangerous part of town . Take your gun and wear a bullet proof suit. The beets are out of a can and the cobblers are frozen . These meals can be duplicated at home .I see nothing special about any of it except for the fact you don't have to cook or wash the dishes. I also remember eating at Beas for $1.00. Do you remember Granny? she worked there forever.

NEW TO TOWN
By snowman101659 on 06/05/2007
My family went for late lunch during the week and had a real good time.We were not seated with strangers and there where four of us. Never got sat or fed so fast in my life! Very unique atmosphere. The food was really good, and like others here, the fried chicken took the prize. The only complaint I have is that the price is not posted anywhere. Lunch is only a dollar less than dinner. If you start comparing prices, food and restaurants...you might choose Golden Corral over Beas. At least that is my husbands thought. But we all loved the food and the service. We will go back again, when we are tired of Golden Corral.

I have read the bad reviews
By smokinfiddler on 05/17/2007
and all I can say is that anyone who dont like bees dont like Down Home Southern cooking! these people would be better off eating at Mcdonalds or Taco bell Beas Has the Best Fried Chicken that has ever passed these lips If you like REAL FOOD go to Beas if you dont I suggest you keep eating the fast food Joints oh and the comment about being in a bad part of town and you need to take a gun could not be farther from the truth, probably some rich snob who made that comment the only rerason I did not give them 5 stars is they need to do some work on the Bathrooms OTOH I tont go there to admire the Bathroom. Beas has been in the same spot since it began and it is always packed so there is a reason that it is still in business... could it possibly be that They serve awesome food? Ding Ding Ding... WE HAVE A WINNER!
