While known by many as a gay club, a better description would be "anything goes." Sex is almost not an issue on this dance floor where everyone seems to be getting down and dirty with the closest moving body. Girls grope girls, girls grope boys and everyone pulses to the beat of intense dance music. Large video screens, day-glo dcor and a consistent crowd of sexy, sweaty people all contribute to Berlin's success as "Chicago's hottest dance club," according to Rolling Stone. The last Sunday of every month is Prince night, and the last Wednesday of each month is disco night. "Live Wire" Saturdays include a variety of live music. Located on Belmont's forever-thriving late-night entertainment strip, Berlin is within steps of countless restaurants, dance clubs, bars and stores selling erotica and hip clothing. --Kari Lydersen

Oh Berlin!

Berlin is indeed one of the best spots, if You're aiming for a night full of dancing and getting to know a lot of people (some more personally than You'd like). Berlin is small, and doesn't have a sitting area... though it does have some tall standing tables and a non-dancing area by the restrooms. The two stages are great for showing off Your moves, and spotting people. The music is almost always great and fitting for any type of dancing, and the people are for the most part REALLY generous... the guys at the door are jerks sometimes - watch out for the doorguy!

Love at 1st sight!

Mokie went to Berlin for 1st time Saturday. As Mokie walked in my eyes fell upon a filipino young man in his early 20's. Mokie was getting excited! Mokie asked the young man to dance and held him so close as they danced to Mokies favorite singer,Bette Midler. Mokie felt like Ginger Rogers with this hunk! Mokie was even going to offer him a job as a manager where Mokie worked! You can steal from me, lie to me,steal from my company. But dont ever leave Mokie, thats how I felt.
