Sheffield's Wine & Beer   

This down-scaled Lakeview watering hole attracts a hard-drinking beer crowd, and surprisingly many of them are women. Sheffield's, a neighborhood joint known for its 100-plus beer selections, reaches its peak during the summer. Crowds swell on its massive outdoor patio before and after Cubs games. The bar doesn't have its own food, but luckily management allows guests to order in from one of the nearby pizza, Thai or noodle joints. On cooler nights, when the beer garden is not an option, revelers pack along the bar or pool tables and ogle each other. A fireplace is also here for new acquaintances to get to know each other better. Other attractions include the Bad Beer of the Month selection, a Golden Tee game and the music, which is always the latest in rock 'n' roll.
