For now, it's brunchtime only at this artsy eatery owned by Michelle Fire, the towering proprietor of lesbigay hot spot Big Chicks. Located next door to the animated dance club, Tweet is a funky little restaurant with plenty of character. You'll find Fire mingling among the tables, greeting guests and sometimes even taking orders. The spot is cheery, filled with artwork from local artists and a friendly, welcoming vibe. Fire is such a big fan of local artists that she's named dishes after them, such as the breakfast burrito, buckwheat pancakes and omelets, which are made with Amish farm eggs. The weekend-only restaurant should be a favorite with Big Chicks' regulars, who also frequent the club on Sunday afternoons for the softball tournaments. -- Audarshia Townsend

Out of the park great!!
By EAYURMAN on 04/27/2009
Had a birthday party there (my daughters') Sunday frenzy at Chick and Tweet, made our experience a happening to remember. Drinks were potent, expertly mixed, the belini and red devil? and bloody mary, we had a few, were quickly served and great. Food was outstanding. Service was superb, the banter with our group, is what I call total customer service, instead of whatcha want to drink etc.. I'm familiar with. Kudos to the Mother Hugger of all Huggers, the FIRE LADY...she truly know how to make brunching an experience!!!!

Bummed out
By mjd833 on 12/03/2006
I had heard many great things regarding this Norhtside trendy hot spot but was sadly disappointed in my first and probably last dining experience at Tweet. Before going I called regarding reservations and got a message that was long and confusing. Upon arrival the hostess was unaware the phone was not working properly and going straight to voice mail. I was told the wait for brunch would be 20 minutes, it ended up being about 45. After being seated there was a 10 minute wait for wait staff acknowledgement. The waiter returned to the table only one other time and that was to drop the check. I will compliment the busboys for being prompt with plate removal and beverage refills. I'm sure there were menu item with flavor but the eggs benedict was not one of them. In a word, BLAND. I will not be recommending Tweet to anyone I know or like.

Owner fired the whole staff!
By michaelinil60613 on 11/06/2006
I went to Tweet when it first opened up and Chef Janice was there, she really knew how to cook and she packed the place 5 days out of the week but when she got fired because a small dispute with the Owner the place has lost star after star. And now the Owner has turned it in to a breakfast place, but the embarrassing part is that she, Michelle Fire the Owner, fired the whole staff and Greet the customer, wait on us, prep the food, serve and even clear the table! I just DO NOT feel comfortable to tip greedy Restaurant/Bar Owners. She doesn't care for the customers anymore, she only think about her own wealth! She is suppose to be "gayfriendly" but NOPe not this woman, unless You happen to have alot of dough! Thums down!
