Blue Chicago (at Ohio) has a slightly more authentic feel to it than the flagship Blue Chicago (at Superior) -- complete with the crowds and intimate space. The club owners love women who sing the blues and pack the lineup with some of the best local talents. Hear them work the room Tuesday through Sunday evenings. Make sure you know the words to 'Sweet Home Chicago' as this popular sing-along is almost always a sure bet. The modest cover charge gives you access to both venues and they're close enough to stop by both in one night. Tip: Visit the souvenir shop next door to find a memento of your Chicago blues experience.

I'm a native of Chicago who grew up on the Southside so I know good blues when I hear it. Blue Chicago is a must-do for any and all. Whether you live in our city or you're visiting. It offers a cozy setting and I always have a ball whenever I'm there!!!

Chicago is Blues

I took my father to Blue Chicago for Father's Day 2003. Dad is 68 years young and knows good blues and a good time. Big Time Sarah and the Band, performed and so did I! I was chosen out of the audience to dance with the band. It was a night we will never forget. I have been back several times and have a great time each time....highly recommended for all grown folk!

The problem with Chicago Blues clubs is that tourists go there to sit and watch. I'm used to blues clubs where people dance and have fun. Dead crowd, expensive covers, small or no dance floors, and bands asking for applause is not my idea of a great blues city.
