A fire in 1999 couldn't keep this lively South Side Irish pub down. Indeed, it practically resurrected overnight. Named after two well-known Irish regions, the cheery watering hole patterns itself after a traditional tavern. Patrons will find the bar tastefully decorated in authentic Irish dcor, from the rich, hardwood accents to Emerald Isle-style memorabilia. Popular music cranks from the well-stocked jukebox. The bar -- which draws many North Siders and suburbanites during St. Patrick's Day season -- features Irish favorites Guinness and Harp on tap as well as about 20 other beers. Hungry barhoppers can eat all the popcorn they want from the nearby machine, but there's no food unless you come for the Friday happy hour buffet. A spacious outdoor garden enjoys overflow during warm weather months.
