Daffodils Flower & Gift Shop   

Daffodils is, thus far, the best florist I've found in Chicago. I now use them for every occasion (or on just regular days when I feel like buying flowers), despite the fact that they aren't located anywhere near my neighborhood. Daffodils always has an absolutely amazing selection of unusual - and surprisingly affordable - flowers, but the true talent lies with the artistic flair of the staff. If you enjoy using florists but can't stand the often tasteless frou-frou that accompanies far too many arrangements, then Daffodils is the way to go. It's a cute, hip little neigborhood shop (not too shocking, given its Bucktown/Wicker Park locale). Never have I seen something as simple as a half-dozen gerbere daisies bundled together so beautifully, with unique, heavy paper and thin, bright string or wire. The Daffodils staff has a knack with color, texture, advice, suggestions, and just plain thoughtfulness - they can make an $12 arrangement of daisies look as if it cost $30. You won't be disappointed!
