Young party people get another late-night dance club in the Gold Coast strip of expensive restaurants, bars and boutiques. With the arrival of Level, owned by the guys behind Lincoln Park's Sauce, denizens of this trendy corridor have another place to play. Level offers two levels, a downscaled room featuring a lounge-like atmosphere on the first floor, and more mainstream music on the top. Formerly known as the ''Euro-trash'' club Domaine, Level features an elevated VIP section, mood-inducing lighting, elegant booths and nice hardwood accents. In addition, they've made room to accommodate at least 75 more guests by tearing down the upper-level DJ booth (the downstairs DJ booth and dance floor remain the same). The music also gets an overhaul: No more hard-hitting Euro-house and techno beats. Pumping out the system now are contemporary hip-hop and underground house. They've even brought over some of the DJs from Sauce, who spin the high-energy party sounds they've become well-known for in Lincoln Park. Ripping down the dark shades that permanently covered the windows is another smart move: Patrons can finally watch all the Rush Street action.
