My last trip to Morton's on State was very disappointing, but the new location on Wacker was awesome. From start to finish it was a classic dining experience. The room is very elegant, and servers are professional. The last time I visited Morton's I felt the waiters objective was to turn the table as fast as possible, not here. We never felt rushed.
Me and my wife split the 48 oz. porterhouse. It was fantastic! Perfectly done, and we brought about half home. Before the entree we had the beefsteak tomato salad, and split a couple of excellent appetizers. Sides were good size to share, and all were exceptional.
The tab was fairly expensive. $400 for four with a modest bottle of wine. I'd say the prices are comparable to Smith and Wollensky, Gibsons and Ruth Chris.
We would definately go back to this restaurant.
