In a neighborhood dedicated to trendy diners and clubgoers, this cozy Irish pub is an Emerald isle unto itself. Some describe the atmosphere as the spot to get ''craic''-ing -- a Gaelic term, pronounced ''crack,'' for fun or enjoyment. Bartenders are known to pour a helluva Guinness or Harp pint to get the party started. In an area where places such as Le Lan, Narcisse and Sound-Bar thrive, CC makes a name for itself as the spot to go for an authentic Irish nightlife experience. Here, it's St. Patrick's Day everyday as countrymen (and co-owners) John Phelan, John O'Reardon and Kevin Hibbitts make the pub a home away from home for Irishmen and women abroad. There's also more than 15 beers on tap, mostly Irish imports. Weekends attract the liveliest barhoppers as bands perform traditional and contemporary Irish music. Though there's no dance floor, patrons are encouraged to express themselves anywhere they can find room.

I happen to be in this place Saturday 8/30/08 and had a great time. The bar wasn't crowded but it was still a fun place. Each time I visit Chicago I try to get here as much as I can
