Cobra Lounge   

On the outskirts of the hip Warehouse District and a quick cab ride from Ukrainian Village is an unassuming rock bar. The Cobra Lounge is a dimly lit den splashed in simple red-and-black dcor with two bars featuring moderately priced cocktails and beer. No hip-hop, no soul, just pure rock 'n' roll jutting from the CD jukebox in the corner, and that's just fine for this crowd, which is composed of local rock musicians and neighborhood types who'd rather avoid more hyped-up scenes. For more variety, DJs spin rock classics every weekend; eventually, the bar plans to offer live entertainment by local artists. A late-night menu includes mini burgers, panko-crusted chicken fingers, buffalo wings and a steak filet wrap. For those who prefer to roll like rock royalty, a curtained-off VIP section accommodates.
