Keeps getting worse
Usually when I visit this place the owner runs around yelling at the employees. Last weekend he seemed to have calmed down and things were good. However yesterday he was not there and it was horrible! We were seated right next to the kitchen...talk about a stressful breakfast! My drink didn't arrive until 5 minutes after my food arrived...which took a half-hour to get. Our food came out one dish at a time, and everyone in our party of three was missing part of their breakfast. When I asked about the soda I ordered, the waitress said they were out of glasses. I found that hard to believe as I could see into the kitchen where there were SEVERAL glasses full of ice waiting to be served. I quickly offered my water cup, however she returned a minute later with my soda. There was never an apology, a thank you, or a "how is everything?". Just a rude, b**chy waitress. She put our check on the table without saying a word, ran the credit card, again without saying a word, and never thanked us, just walked away. Needless to say, she got a ZERO tip. So unfortunate because the food has been good in the past, but when spending $60 on breakfast for three people, I could have received better service at Denny's.
The Maven
My wife and I visited the Deli this past week end. The staff was very courous, and in some cases too attentavive.
I ordered the Rubin's Rueben (I think named after the owner?)
It was the best I had ever eaten (huge and juicy)
My wife had athe "Woody Alen" , which was a giant Corned beef sanddwich, with great fries.
I will be back again
Thrown out.
nice decor, decent waitress and unremarkable food. unlike his mother, the owner doesn't seem to relate to customers very well. he rudely asked my friends and i to leave, offering us some 'coffee to go'; turning a so-so experience into a bad one. we won't be recommending this restaurant or going back.
This is not a Deli
No potatoe knishes, herring, stuffed cabbage, derma........nothing that I want from a deli. No pickles on table, no basket of rolls - what's going on here. Poor service - which I could live with if they served deli items. Back to "Manny's" I go.
